It’s official, Christina Aguilera is a single woman. After a mandatory six-month waiting period as required by California law, Aguilera’s divorce from hubby of five years, Jordan Bratman, was finalized on Friday morning (Apr. 15). We imagine she’s having a cocktail (or seven) to celebrate. It’s been a while since she and boy toy Matthew Rutler have made headlines. [ -]

While one marriage ends, another one is getting ready to begin. Jessica Simpson is hard at work not just with her fashion empire, but finding the perfect wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Eric Johnson. “Once I get what I want my dress to look like. We’ll set a date,” she says. The dress will likely be in a “romantic” light color with either a scoop or a v-neck. “I like my collar bone,” the singer explains. “I have a long neck, so I like to show off my décolletage.” If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Mama Kardashian is showing off her Lakers spirit with a new set of Vanity Plates on her white Bentley. Daughter Khloé tweeted a photo of the car with the caption, “Look at my moms new license plates! Awww she loves Lam.” The license plate reads “LKRMAMA” — Translation, “Laker Mama.” Looks like son-in-law Lamar Odom is fitting in with the family just fine. [ -] 

The biz has been buzzing over Christina Aguilera‘s arrest for public intoxication in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. There has been a parade of rumors about Aguilera’s partying since she announced her divorce from music exec Jordan Bratman, so the arrest didn’t come as much of a surprise.

Aguilera’s boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, was pulled over after 2 a.m. in West Hollywood for erratic driving. He blew a 0.09 BAC, over the 0.08 legal limit, and was arrested for driving under the influence. Aguilera, who was in the passenger side, was also brought in after officers observed drunken behavior.

“She was not capable of taking care of herself. She was incapacitated,” L.A. County spokesperson Steve Whitmore -. “She was cooperative. She was not belligerent in any way
whatsoever. She was just intoxicated.”

Aguilera didn’t know her address and had trouble standing on her own. Concerned for public safety, and Aguilera’s safety, police booked her.

She will not be prosecuted. “It just for a public
safety issue,” Whitmore says. “When she was able to navigate and to
think on her own and make her own way, she was released.”

Rutler was released Tuesday morning and has picked up his car from the impound lot.

Awkward alert: While Christina Aguilera has been busy with her new boy toy Matt Rutler, apparently they were sharing a roof with soon-to-be-ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Thankfully for everyone involved, Bratman has snagged a bachelor pad of his own. Now X-tina can make plenty of room for that new Mustang GT she bought as a gift for Rutler. [ -]

In slightly less awkward break-up news, Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe have called it quits after three-months together. According to a source, “It’s not a big deal for either of them.” [ -]

“Project Runway’s” Tim Gunn is penning a second book to be titled, “Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet.” The book will chronicle the history of everything from shoes to underwear and answer common fashion questions with style tips and tricks. “Every item of clothing means something,” he says. “Usually a lot of somethings. By pointing out what those things are, I hope this book will delight readers and magically transform their cluttered closets into world of wonders.” [ -]

Blake Lively is shooting down rumors that she may appear in a “Sex and the City” prequel by announcing that she’ll be starring in the film “Hick,” starring Chloe Moretz. She will be playing a drug-addicted mother in the film. [ -]

We all knew that George Clooney had no plans to get hitched in the near future (or ever), an apparently he’s not interested in the role of father either. At least not yet. Girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis says that “[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me. My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.” [ -]
