FOX News Channel and Comedy Central political pundits Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart don’t often see eye to eye. The controversy surrounding rapper Common‘s - Poetry event on May 11th is no exception.

O’Reilly and Stewart had it out on FOX’s “The O’Reilly Factor,”
debating whether or not the rapper’s invitation was appropriate or not.
Common has voiced his support of Joanne Chesimard (aka Assata Shakur), a
member of the Black Liberation Army, who was convicted of killing a New
Jersey State Trooper in 1977.

“I’m not saying he’s promoting cop killing,” O’Reilly says. “Celebrating a cop killer, yes”

Stewart counters, “What I think he’s doing is not celebrating, but
honoring someone he thinks was wrongly convicted of cop killing. I think
he believes she was convicted unjustly.”

“That’s fine. And if Common, who wasn’t even born when this crime took
place, thinks that based on nothing because the evidence is
overwhelming, he’s entitled as an American to do that,” O’Reilly fires
back. “The President of the United States though, takes him into the
house, thereby validating him. Come on, that was a bad decision.”

Adding, “It elevates him as a poet or whatever. Do you know how many poets would have liked to be there?”

Stewart points out that there is much more to Common’s career than this
case, and adds that Bono, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen all fall under
the same category of writing songs about convicted murderers.

On Saturday (May 7), the Obama administration released five home videos taken from Osama Bin Laden’s Pakistan hideout. The tapes were seized along with other data in the raid in which Bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces.

The collection of clips shows, among other things, the leader watching footage of himself on a small TV. Another is a previously unreleased “message to the American people” in which the now-dead al Qaeda leader stands in front of a blue backdrop and condemns capitalism.

No audio — and no transcript — was released along with the clips. A senior administration official - The Washington Post that the government didn’t want to give Bin Laden a propaganda platform after his death.

The release of the tapes comes after the White House’s decision to not release photos of the dead al Qaeda leader.

The White House Correspondents Association dinner — known on the web as the Nerd Prom — is an annual
convergence of policymakers, Hollywood A-listers and the journalists
who cover them both, took place Saturday, Apr. 30.

“Saturday Night Live’s” Seth Meyers is hosting the dinner and plans to make a few jokes about President Barack Obama releasing his birth certificate and Donald Trump taking credit for said releasing of birth certificate.

Which celebrities made it out to the party this year? On the movie side of things, Mila Kunis, Sean Penn, director Tom Hooper, Salma Hayek, Rosario Dawson, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks and more.

“Scream 4″ has become a who’s who of young Hollywood, with a slew of young actors joining returning vets, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, for the latest installment.

One common thread between all actors present at Wednesday’s (Mar. 23) press conference was that they had a blast while filming.

“Neve would rent a little lake house a couple of the weekends we were there, and we all would go and sleep over and have the best time,” Emma Roberts tells Zap2it of her favorite memories. “It was so much fun.”

We also sat down with “Heroes” star, Hayden Panettiere, who gushes, “We had the best time. When you’re dealing with a young cast, of course it can go either way. There can be the drama and all of the above, but we loved each other, we spent tons of time with each other. It was like camp for us… I miss it.”

“We bonded,” Anthony Anderson echoes. “We’d be out there [at the lake house] for 3-4 days at a time, just having water balloon fights and barbecues and love making. All kinds of things.”

Panettiere tells us that though she’s known co-star Rory Culkin for many years, she never really had a whole lot of friends in the industry.

“I just never found myself in long term friendships with people who were in the same industry as me,” she explains. “I mean, my best friends are now the people I met on this movie.”

Those best friends now include Roberts, Culkin, Nico Tortorella and Erik Knudsen, to name a few. But wasn’t just the new blood that bonded — Cox admits that she and Campbell developed a more powerful friendship this time around, as well.

“I became closer with Neve during this movie than I did the first three,” Cox admits. “I just adore that girl.”

Who knew filming slasher movies could be such a blast? You can watch the cast as they try to escape the Ghostface killer when “Scream 4″ is released on April 15th. 

Get ready, lower 48! Bristol Palin had so much fun on “Dancing With the Stars” that she’s moving south for good… but Hollywood isn’t for her. The 20-year-old single mom just bought a five-bedroom house in Maricopa, Arizona for 2,000 in cash.

The mayor of Maricopa, Edward Farrell, gave Todd Palin a tour of the town earlier this year, - People. Bristol chose a brown stucco house in the Cobblestone Farms development, which is a quiet neighborhood in a Phoenix suburb.

The move prompts rumors that Bristol may be interested in attending Arizona State University, which has an acclaimed broadcasting program. Since Bristol has expressed interest in pursuing a career in public speaking (we’re guessing about abstinence, proper Facebook insults, or the rock tango), ASU would be perfect for her.

TMZ - Zachary Ziebarth, the president of ASU’s College Republicans, and unsurprisingly, he’d be thrilled to have her. Also unsurprisingly, not everyone feels that way. “Facebook has already been going crazy with status updates of excitement, mixed feelings and non-acceptance,” he says.
